JOSÉ MARÍA CERVELLO CHAIR

The José María Cervelló Chair was created in 2004 to honor José María Cervelló, a State Attorney, founder of the IE’s legal programs, an exceptional and “atypical” teacher, and a pioneer in the development of international advocacy in Spain. The Chair was created with a social purpose because its activity is aimed mainly at providing scholarships for students with financial difficulties, students who have a brilliant academic record and wish to study a legal program at IE Law School.

The aims of the José María Cervelló Chair are: to foster debate and the exchange of legal knowledge, to develop research programs and promote dialogue on matters of current legal relevance among professionals in the sector.

These aims serve the main foundational objective of the chair: to grant scholarships for the tax and legal study programs of IE LAW SCHOOL to students with financial difficulties.
